More recently, Apple introduced the updated iPad Pro, but more than a year has passed since the last iPad Air update. According to the latest information, his heir will still be released later in 2020. However, this will not be a minor update, but a complete rethinking of the line with a redesigned design.
Insider John Prosser previously talked about the release of the iPad Pro (2020) and the updated MacBook Air. He also talked about delayed release of AirTags and iPhone SE (2020). Now he reveals to us that in September, along with the iPad Pro with the A14X Bionic processor and 5G support, Apple will also present New iPad Air.
According to the source, the fourth-generation iPad Air will receive an 11-inch Mini-LED display with equally thin frames on all sides. Thus, in appearance it will resemble the 11-inch iPad Pro. Another feature of the new tablet should be a touch-screen fingerprint scanner Touch ID. IPad Air (2020) is expected to receive the A14 Bionic processor. Unlike the Pro version, it will not have a lidar.
According to another well-known insider and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is also working on an updated iPad – the most affordable model in the lineup. He assures that the tablet will receive a Mini-LED display and a noticeable upgrade of the hardware component. So, users should wait for the A12 Bionic processor instead of the A10 Fusion installed in the iPad (2019).
